“BECAUSE YOU WERE HOME.” Hello there and a wonderful Wednesday to you all! Time to break up the recent proceedings with a little modern home invasion film spotlight 🤘🤘🤘 I thought that this delectable double feature would be just the way to spend a few hours today. I’m a huge fan of the original The Strangers. While far from original in almost any way, it was just so damned effective! The performances were intense all around, and with the single location terror at full throttle the entire runtimes, it’s one of the more nail biting experiences in the genre. Of course, let’s not forget that ending! It surprised me more than anyone when they released a sequel, a full decade later. I had no idea it was even being considered. Even more surprising, was how much I enjoyed it, even more than the original. The slightly increased scope, being set in multiple locations in a trailer park, really worked to its favor in my eyes. I felt the feeling of the single location horror experience was maintained, but with more variety. I also really liked the characters. For some reason, for me this was the rare sequel that actually beats the original. Not a popular stance, but there it is! 😁🤘😎 ANY OTHER FANS OF THE STRANGERS??? WHICH IS YOUR FAVORITE??? WHAT KIND OF SEQUEL WOULD YOU LIKE TO SEE??? Let’s chat below! collection @shoutfactory

  • segaThe Mega Drive Is the Smartest Way to Start a Sega CollectionPick up a PAL copy of Streets of Rage 2 and the case still snaps shut the way it did in 1992. That one detail – Sega shipping games in hard plastic clamshells while Nintendo was still using cardboard – is half the argument for the Mega Drive as your first serious Sega collection. The other half: this was Europe's 16-bit machine, and today's PAL supply reflects it. Sega won Europe with the Mega Drive in a way it never managed in Japan. For a collector, that dominance means abundance: consoles, l
