Time for another first time watch of a film that many consider to be a quintessential 90’s classic, Jerry Maguire. Although I’ve been aware of this one since it was originally released way back in 96, to be completely honest, there pretty much nothing about it that appeals to me. It’s a comedy, which as many of you well know is not a genre that is well represented in my collection due to my extreme pickiness. It’s a romantic drama... about sports. It’s literally every single one of my least favorite film genres, all crammed into one 😂 But, with all of that said, I’ve been trying to watch more movies that have both never seen, and are outside of my comfort zone. At least I have the familiarity of Tom Cruise, who I quite like, to help soften the blow. I’m completely open to enjoying this film, and I may well be surprised in the best possible way.
