Good day to you all and happy Saturday! It’s a quiet, foggy, and hauntingly beautiful morning over here in the Bay Area, and I’m in the mood for something similarly moody. So, it’s time for one of the most underrated double features of all time, both starring the untouchable and always awesome Paul Bettany 😎🤘😎 I’ve always throughly and unashamedly loved Legion. It was eviscerated upon release by critics, but that always seemed a little confusing to me. The film was a totally bonkers slice of single location apocalyptic action horror. You really can’t go wrong with any of it, especially with the ever reliable Dennis Quaid just Quaiding up the proceedings in the best possible way. It’s also surprisingly atmospheric. Following that up we have the similarly critically maligned action horror gem, Priest. This is another one that just blows my mind that it didn’t catch on. The fully realized, thoroughly epic world budding, chock full of awesome special effects that have aged quite well, moody and atmospheric yet over the top and action packed, what’s not to love about it? This is a one two underrated double punch for the ages. What about all of you? Any fans of these Pre-MCU Bettany gems?
