So up next we have a theme I’ll be running with today where I’ll take two films of similar plot/premise, and pit them against one another in an epic clash that will reveal, once and for all, which film is at the top of the food chain. First up, which of these is your favorite GET OFF MY PLANE films??? Many default to Harrison Ford’s iconic Air Force One, the be all and end all of 90’s air disaster excellence. And I would have to agree on the right day, but on others... Executive Decision takes the crown. Both are high intensity, full throttle airliner thrillers that keep the action flowing and the plot a distant but functional second thought. Both are lead by commanding and natural performances by their seasoned leads smack dab in the middle of their careers, with lots of energy and iconic lines aplenty. If I had to choose one desert island style, it’s going to have to be Executive Decision. I watched it first, so it’s got the nostalgia factor going for it, but it’s also just a little bit sharper and slightly less dumb. Great flicks! Any other fans? Which film takes the cake for you?
