Oh well hello again! Just taking a quick moment to show off these brand spanking new pickups from Shout/Scream Factory. I’ve been on an absolutely feverish 90’s kick lately. While the decade isn’t exactly known as being the apex of horror, most of the sci-fi has quickly dated pretty badly, and many iconic performances of the era come off now as a kind of hammy balance between the more “realistic” style dominant today, and the theatrics if previous decades. All of that may seem like nitpicking, but it actually lends the decade a particular kind of charm I’m beginning to appreciate more and more. The nostalgia of being a 90’s kid doesn’t hurt either. I know I’ve watched both Hackers and Brainscan multiple times, but like a lot of my recent vault output, they will likely feel like close to first time watches since it’s been 20 years since I’ve seen either 😂 I’m thinking I’ll start off with Hackers, as I remember it a bit more than Brainscan. How about all of you? Any fans of either of these 90’s sci-fi thriller/horror flicks? Are you a fan of 90’s film in general?
