Hey everyone! So as I’ve been slowly making my way through my recently acquired 4K editions of the DCEU films one by one, a strange yet surprisingly predictable phenomenon is starting to occur: they are sucking a hell of a lot less this time around! Maybe that’s due to expectations, maybe I’m just enjoying them for what they are instead of what I want them to be, but although they are still far from perfect, there’s a lot to enjoy. This is why I’ve decided to revisit a much derided corner of the Marvel film universe in the form of the Fantastic Four series. I love the first two, and even though they are already a bit dated and hammy at this point, there’s just so much to love about so many aspects of the films. Despite having owned the reboot for years, I’ve still yet to work up the desire to give it a watch. Who knows, maybe having literally zero expectations when I finally get around to seeing it will make it more tolerable 😂 We all know that the X-Men and Fantastic Four are finally home, and despite it likely being years off, I absolutely cannot wait to see how they are introduced and what the MCU can do for them. Third time had better be a charm (well... Fourth if you count the legendary Roger Corman adaptation 🤘). HOW ABOUT ALL OF YOU??? ANYONE ELSE STOKED FOR THE FUTURE OF MARVEL’S FIRST FAMILY???
