Good day everyone and happy Saturday to you all! It’s bright and early, the coffee is flowing, and I’ve knocked out a couple of episodes of the second season of the new Twilight Zone to start off the day. I found myself in the mood for some old school action, and doesn’t get any more iconic than this triple threat of 80’s iconic action perfection. All three of these films jump started franchises that would last for decades, all of them likely to endure far beyond their iconic frontman. Stallone, Schwarzenegger, and Willis would all become cemented in film history and subsequently create legacies so potent that even decades later, with all three well into their 60’s and 70’s, they can still headline blockbuster action films and keep up with the best of the new blood, and will always have a permanent open door to headline or more likely cameo in mid-to-low tier direct to video action thriller epics until they drop dead on set. All three are classics, all essential viewing. I’m leaning towards a Predator run, but what do you all think? What’s your favorite of these timeless 80’s classics?
