So I’m thinking it’s time for what has become my annual (or even semi-annual revisit of this modern Raimi classic! I only just watched this film a few years back for the first time, but ever since I just keep coming back to it 😂 It’s such a solid, at times genuinely shocking, icky, gory old good time! Alison Lohman is fantastic in the lead, and I really wish she worked more often. The practical effects are disgusting, brutal, and wonderfully over the top, as we’ve find the expect from this offbeat filmmaker. The film both literally and figuratively oozes the typical darkly funny, viciously offbeat tone I am so drawn to in Raimi’s work. LOVE this one so much!!! Any other fans? @shoutfactory
