Hey all! I hope you’re all still having a killer day. Speaking of killer, I’m in the mood for a good old fashioned serial killer film. By my money, the 90’s and 2000’s have some of the best in the genre, and Zodiac is one of my favorites hands down. Directed by David Fincher (who also headed one of the aforementioned genre bests, Se7en), this film is a master class in thrilling, engaging, moody filmmaking. Fincher’s stylistic tendencies are in full form, and they perfectly complement a fascinating look at one of the most infamous unsolved murder sprees of our times immaculate period recreation, all encompassing tension, with tour de force performances from an ensemble cast headed up by the always excellent Jake Gyllenhaal, this really is the definition of must see cinema.
