Halloween 2 (Blu-ray)

Item image

“FAMILY IS FOREVER” Ughhh... I just... okay... alright, here we go. Halloween II-2??? Zombieween II? I hate this movie. I just can’t wrap my brain around how Zombie was able to come up with a relatively decent origin story for Michal Myers, only to then turn around and use said character in this absolute mess of a film. Pulling once again from the Laurie Strode/Myers familial connection (because that was a good idea the first time around 🙄), this movie makes pretty much all of the same mistakes many of the later sequels did, despite having a brand new timeline to do just the opposite. It plays almost like a condensed greatest worst hits of the franchise. There are some awesome kills here and there, and of course when he is doing his thing, Myers is a beast and as intimidating as always is. It’s too bad that I couldn’t care less about anyone or anything happening on screen. This is the bottom of the barrel, taking the trophy for worst Halloween franchise film, handily stealing the dubious crown from Resurrection. And that ending... that. Ridiculous. Silly. SILLY ending. I seem to lack the proper words for how much I dislike this film. But, for all do you, Ive sacrificed by time and sanity to bring you these updated thoughts. Speaking of resurrection, what happens when your Halloween film bombs critically and financially, effectively ending all interest in the franchise for a decade? Why, you resurrect the franchise, pretend NONE of the sequels count, and reboot the series a second time as a parallel universe sequel to the Carpenter classic 😂 I know this film has its fans, so I’d like to hear what all of you think of Halloween II-2?

  • segaThe Mega Drive Is the Smartest Way to Start a Sega CollectionPick up a PAL copy of Streets of Rage 2 and the case still snaps shut the way it did in 1992. That one detail — Sega shipping games in hard plastic clamshells while Nintendo was still using cardboard — is half the argument for the Mega Drive as your first serious Sega collection. The other half: this was Europe's 16-bit machine, and today's PAL supply reflects it. Sega won Europe with the Mega Drive in a way it never managed in Japan. For a collector, that dominance means abundance: consoles, l
