Hey all! Just another random occasion to celebrate the one and only Captain America with this epic triple feature showcase. I’ll be the first to admit that I was as cynical as anyone could possibly have been about a Captain America film prior to the release of First Avenger. I just couldn’t wrap my head around how they were going to make what I considered to be a pretty era specific, time locked, borderline silly character relevant for modern audiences. I remember thinking “well, that was a fun little experiment” regarding the prospects of the future Marvel films😂 Fast forward a decade or so and Cap’s journey has come to a close (?) and he left the MCU as the heart and soul of everything I love about this world. I’m still having difficulty envisioning the future without him, particularly with the tragic loss of Chadwick Boseman, who I truly felt was the right character for the daunting task of filling Cap’s shoes. I’m sure Marvel will deliver as they always do, but I do wish we had gotten one more Captain America centric solo film that felt less like Avengers 2.5, but these are three top tier stories.
