Hey all! A few weeks back I was going over my Stephen King film collection to see if there were any missing links or any flicks I’ve never seen, and noticed a glaring omission that could not go unaddressed. I remember watching Apt Pupil many, many years ago, and being both disturbed and blown away by the experience. Ian McKellen gives it his all and produces one of his most intense, unnerving, and unpredictable performances I can think of. I only remember bits and pieces of specifics, as it’s been so long that most of the details have faded. That’s one of my favorite things, rediscovering good films and viewing them through a brand new lens. So, on to tonight’s viewing! How about all of you? Any fans of Apt Pupil?
