All right everyone, I’ve been in the mood for something a little different, and decided it’s high time for a lovely, wholesome little family fun double feature. And I know that when I think of family fun, I think of Natural Born Killers and True Romance. Although I was originally struck with the urge to watch NBK, my mind went immediately to True Romance as a suitable companion piece. Little did I know, there was a good reason for that association. This may be old news to most, but apparently the two films started under Quentin Tarantino as a single story, before later branching off into two separate projects. Well how about that! I love learning those little tidbits, it adds a lot of texture and context to both films. Both of these are top tier flicks, and both straddle that odd line between 90’s classics, and cult infamy. Huge fan of both. How about you?
