Chase H.Q. (Game Boy - Taito - 1990 - FAH)

It was the first game my older brother bought alongside the Game Boy back in 1991. He has never really been a gamer but I know he has a soft spot for racing games, hence this purchase. The thing is Chase H.Q. is not really a racing game per se, and I guess he was a bit disappointed. When thinking of buying a Game Boy and a game, Chase H.Q. wasn’t on the top of my mind. But when you only have two games to play (the other one being obviously Tetris), you don’t have the choice but to play them extensively. A gamer kid would play with everything in his reach anyway. So I played a lot of Chase H.Q. and kind of like it, even if I was puzzled by its very premises: in a racing game, there is an incentive on avoiding every other racers, but not with this game. Now that I think of it, it’s kind of like GTA, right?
