To Monday Marios: It’s Mario Monday and the Mario Keepsake ornament by @hallmark is ready to go on the tree. But first let’s get a close look! Mario is the fourth and final Nintendo Keepsake ornament that released in 2019. Out of the box, he is carefully wrapped in tissue to protect its delicate construction. The sculpt on this ornament is on point, just as we would expect from Hallmark’s Keepsake line. I like to compare it to amiibo in that they are well made and feature a mix of finishes in rich colors. With Mario though, he’s pretty boring in that respect, only having nice shiny boots. If you purchased the Piranha Plant keepsake, you’ll be delighted to see that the pipes are the same size allowing each to compliment each other nicely standing or hanging. Mario himself is pretty small, in fact smaller than the Jakks 2.5” Mario giving him little use aside from being an ornament. The standard issue fist pump pose is also a bit tired making him the least exciting of the 4 keepsakes this year. Overall this is a beautifully crafted ornament with a very limited range of uses. It’s a bit boring in its pose and finish but should liven any gamer themed Christmas tree, however, it is highly overpriced. Rzeźba na tej ozdobie jest na najwyższym poziomie, dokładnie tak, jak można oczekiwać od linii Keepsake Hallmark. Lubię ją porównywać do amiibo, bo są solidnie wykonane i mają mieszankę wykończeń w bogatych kolorach. Z Mario jednak w tym zakresie jest dość nudno, mając jedynie ładne błyszczące buty. Jeśli kupiłeś keepsake Piranha Plant, będziesz zachwycony, że rury są tego samego rozmiaru, co pozwala każdej z nich dobrze się ze sobą komplementować stojąc lub wisząc. Sam Mario jest całkiem mały, wręcz mniejszy niż Mario Jakks o wysokości 2,5”, co ogranicza jego użycie do samej ozdoby. Standardowa poza z zaciśniętą pięścią jest również trochę nużąca, czyniąc go najmniej ekscytującym z czterech keepsakes w tym roku. Ogólnie rzecz biorąc, to pięknie wykonana ozdoba o bardzo ograniczonym zakresie zastosowań. Jest trochę nudna w swoim ustawieniu i wykończeniu, ale powinna ożywić każde drzewko świąteczne o tematyce gier, jednakże jest bardzo przesadzona cenowo. Oceniam ją na 3 z 5 gwiazdek, jest w porządku, możesz ją uwielbiać, albo nie.
