Retro games in Denmark are traded across small webshops, flea markets and private sellers, and the selection varies week to week. That makes it hard to know where to look first. The five stores below all sell through Golisto, and they have enough stock to be worth following over time rather than checking once and forgetting them again.

Five stores sorted by active listings

The figures are the number of active listings on Golisto on 19 August 2026. They change continuously as items are sold and listed.

Together the five account for about 15,074 listings. In practice that means a broad search term like "Nintendo 64" or "PlayStation 2" almost always returns results from at least one of them.

What you should check before you hit buy

The condition of retro games covers a lot. A game can be CIB with box, manual and inserts, or it can be a loose cartridge with a worn label. Both are legitimate sales, but the price difference is large, and the photo in the listing is the only thing that determines which you get. Look for photos of the actual media and not just the box.

Region codes still cause trouble. PAL versions run on European consoles, while NTSC versions from the US or Japan require either a modified console or a console from the same region. On older systems like SNES and Mega Drive it is often physically impossible to insert the cartridge without an adapter.

A couple of concrete examples from the current listings: Nintendo Wii Mini Mario Edition Red/Black Complete in Original Box shows what "complete in original box" means in practice, and Nintendo 64 Rumble Pak – N64 Controller Accessory is the kind of accessory that typically is missing when you buy a used console.

Buy through the platform rather than off-platform
