Space Station Silicon Valley for the N64 definitely fits in the wacky bracket. You are a microchip called Evo who takes control of robot animals (not too dissimilar to Cappy captures in Mario Odyssey), in order to solves puzzles and find objects to rebuild your robot suit. There’s a cracked spaceship and a comedy guy who gives you missions. This plus the collecting aspect reminds me a bit of Pikmin. Really clever level design and game mechanics. Not sure many got to play this one.
