Let’s have a look at the brand new Super Mario 4” Parabones action figure by @jakkstoys. He is a brand new sculpt for the line making this his first appearance and a highly welcome one. Right out of the box Dry Bones is moving everywhere because he is just loaded with articulation points. Without going over all of them he shares a lot of the same points that Jakks hit on the Koopa Troopa figures before it. Additionally, Dry Bones is a bit more dynamic in that he can open and shut his jaw giving his skull another dimension of awesomeness! His included accessory, a pair of wings, allow him to become Parabones. Simply snap the ball-jointed wings into the sockets on his back and you have yourself a Parabones. This feature, like the Koopa Troopas before, essentially allow you to have two figures in one. The best part is that the sockets on his back are not very noticeable as they are in the Koopas, allowing Dry Bones to display nicely with or without wings. As with Piranha Plant, the paint application is near perfect, and no visible imperfections take away from it. You should be able to spend lots of time playing with and positioning him in different poses. Overall this little guy just looks and works perfectly with a lot of articulation plus bonuses. His versatility makes him stand out as perhaps the best Super Mario baddie in Jakks’ portfolio yet! I give this fella 5 out of 5 stars, you have to get it!
