The Flame & The Citron

- This item is used Description 1944. We are in occupied Copenhagen. While the rest of the country hopes the war will soon end, the resistance fighters 'Flammen' (Thure Lindhardt) and 'Citronen' (Mads Mikkelsen) are the Holger Danske group's most effective weapons, kept sharp by police chief Winther (Peter Mygind). When Flammen is ordered to execute his girlfriend, Ketty (Stine Stengade), he nevertheless becomes doubtful. In the fight for the country’s freedom the zones are gray, and it becomes harder and harder to find the line between friends and enemies...Flammen og Citronen, which is based on real historical events, has become one of Danish cinema’s greatest successes ever. With its controversial and powerful story the film offers a completely new and nuanced picture of the war - and the sublime acting and the grandiose staging set new standards and move something in all of us. Look forward to Ole Christian Madsen's epic drama with: pace, nerve-wracking suspense, love and plenty of action. In short: Danish cinema at world-class level! Look forward also to the diverse bonus material that provides renewed insight and historical perspective with new, revealing layers to the inexhaustible story!
