Palle tends to his Jutland constituency in the best possible way, but discovers that the chairman is most preoccupied with pursuing his own interests. Søs is bored as a housewife and tries to become a presenter’s assistant - but in vain. Episode 121959. Erik suggests to Ida that they move in together, but she hesitates to give him space in her life again. It doesn’t help that Erik forgets all about his waiting sons when he feels demeaned in the promotional round happening on 'Bella.' Erik is close to leaving, but is talked into reason by the family friend Vang, who tries to help him adapt to his father’s expectations. Palle waits patiently for Søs to want another child, but the ambitions for a job keep pulling at her. With Karin’s help, Erik has his life under control, and his deal with the oil-furnace looks good. He is just about to finalize a large delivery to a prefabricated house company when the agreement unexpectedly collapses. Søs has applied for a job as technical producer, and when she saves Friis from a precarious situation, the job becomes hers. Things also progress in Palle’s career. He appears on television, but his principled stance is so strong that Prime Minister Krag chooses to offer him the post as chairman of the tax committee, so he can learn a bit about the ‘political realities’. After several days of drinking, Søs picks up Erik at a pub and brings him home to Karin, while Kaj Holger is on a business trip.
