Orchid-thief

- This item is used Description The people behind the Oscar-winning critic and audience favorite "Being John Malkovich" are back with a film that is exactly as spectacular and intelligent as the previous one. Donald and Charlie Kaufman have written the screenplay, while Spike Jonze directs. The film is a blend of reality and fiction. Meryl Streep plays the living author Susan Orlean, whose novel "The Orchid Thief" is to be rewritten into a film. Her story centers on John Laroche (Chris Cooper), who deals in rare plants. He clones orchids and sells them to collectors. Charlie Kaufman (Nicholas Cage) is tasked with turning the book into a film screenplay – a task that gives him more trouble than usual. His twin brother Donald (also played by Nicolas Cage) is also a writer, but has a more relaxed attitude toward writing. Region Code 2 Edition Running time in minutes 110 Year of Production 2002
