Since almost all of his colleagues have been killed, Gibbons must hunt for a new agent who can help unravel the radical forces he believes are behind the assassination. The new agent must therefore be an experienced, well-trained militant type with a good amount of courage and influence. The problem is just that the best man for the job is in prison. Darius Stone is behind bars in a military prison for beating a superior officer, so Gibbons must personally help Stone escape. The actual escape operation succeeds, but Gibbons and Stone must work quickly, as they have both the radical faction and the FBI right on their heels.
