Rome - Season 1

- This item is used Description Year 52 BC. Four hundred years after the birth of the republic, Rome is the richest city in the world, a cosmopolitan metropolis with a million inhabitants, the center of a scattered empire. The Republic was founded on principles of shared power and sharp personal competition, where one man never had the opportunity to seize power alone. But now the principles are in decline, eaten away by corruption and debauchery. After eight years of war, the soldiers Lucius Vorenus and Titus Pullo are inadvertently drawn into the historical events of ancient Rome. A serialized drama of love and betrayal, masters and slaves, men and women, Rome tells the story of a turbulent era, when the republic fell and the empire was born.
