STEP UP, with its joyful dance and spectacular music, is an inspirational story of culture clash and transformation in the name of music and dance. Tyler Gage is a charming, small-time crook from Baltimore. He is sentenced to community service as a janitor at a prestigious school that, among other things, trains dancers. He is an outsider, but his great self-confidence leads the beautiful ballet dancer Nora Clark to discover his talent for street dance. Nora desperately seeks a dance partner for the recital, while Tyler seeks a better life. They come from very different worlds, but when their paths cross, sparks fly… both on and off the dance floor!
