DVD: Shrek

An entertaining animated adventure film about the opposite of a classic princess story. The protagonist is a large, green and seemingly scary creature who lives isolated in a swamp. When his silence is disturbed by a bunch of fairy-tale characters, he decides to reclaim his swamp by saving a princess. Along the way, he discovers that the world and people are much more complex than they appear on the surface, and that you should not judge by appearances. The film is full of humor, warmth, and classic princess-adventure references, where all expectations are turned upside down. Perfect for both children and adults who love adventures with a twist.
