Quake 2 (Nintendo 64 - ID Software - 1999 - EUR) After all this raycasting FPS fun, it’s time for a true 3D shooter with Quake II. The first time I played it, I was a bit disappointed: the frame rate wasn’t as smooth as the other games, and the setting was boring to me, especially after Duke Nukem. I have never played the PC version, but from what I’ve been told, most of this N64 version’s levels are brand new and only have just a few from the original. The graphics are okay I guess, but it is too dark overall, and the gameplay feels less responsive than, say, Doom.
