Donkey Kong Land 2 (Game Boy - Rare - 1996 - FAH) Donkey Kong Land 2 adresses most of the criticisms of its predecessor. The sprites have all been redrawn, the background are more readable this time around, the feeling of screen crunch is gone and the controls have been largely improved. When DKL was a loose interpretation of DKC, DKL2 is much more faithful to its SNES counterpart: same kind of levels, bonus and traps, same dexterity required for precision platforming, same humor and same fun. In fact, if you pretend yourself a fan of Rare’s golden era, you really shouldn’t overlook this Game Boy port: it’s almost as good as Diddy’s adventures on home console.
