Kirby’s Dream Land (Game Boy - HAL Laboratory - 1992 - USA)

Kirby’s Dream Land (Game Boy - HAL Laboratory - 1992 - USA) I always try to get my Game Boy games in French version, a.k.a. FAH. But back in the days, I was unaware of those regional differences, and that’s how I got an American version of Kirby’s Dream Land. Micromania, a retailer, used to import games from time to time, and since the cover seemed nice to me, I bought it that way. Sure, finishing the game is a piece of cake (...), but it’s done in style! The attention to details is amazing for such a small game, the cutscenes at the beginning of each stage are wonderful, the animations are full of humor... No wonder Sakurai is behind all of this: his perfectionism can still be seen in its current production, the Smash Bros serie. I hold this game dear as it’s probably the one that I’ve completed the most in my youth (alongside Mega Man II).
