Super Mario Land 2: 6 Golden Coins (Game Boy - Nintendo - 1992 - FAH) Unpopular opinion incoming: I don’t really like Super Mario Land 2 for various reasons. However I did liked it when it came out in 1992! I even finished it in three days after receiving it as a Christmas present. I used to play it constantly, finding all the secrets and glitches (like in the demo play). But playing it again recently made me realized that some stuff bothers me: the pace of the game is strange, the enemies are uninspired, the framerate feels off, the challenge is way too low... Sadly, I find myself bored when playing Super Mario Land 2. On the other hand, I admit that the graphics are good-looking for the most part (even if the action is too much zoomed in), and the music is a true ear worm (the ending theme is such a joy). All in all, even if Super Mario Land 2 is a solid game, I don’t place it in any of my top 10 on Game Boy.
