Wario Land II changes its gameplay quite a bit, and you certainly can’t make it a Super Mario Land 4 for that matter. The idea is simple: how to make a challenging experience with an invincible character. Even with all those changes, Wario Land II is a fun game that came quite late in the Game Boy’s life cycle. Its multiple paths in the scenario, its well hidden secrets and its overall nice graphics and sounds makes it a really good game. Back in the days, seeing all the commercial about Wario Land II got me excited: I was about to get a Game Boy Color and I couldn’t wait to see my game in color! I soon realized that the version I bought a few months ago wasn’t compatible with it and that a distinct Game Boy Color version existed. That was such a disappointment...
