If you want to read my review for Nintendo World Cup, go to the one I wrote for the NES version, they’re quite the same game! Obviously, World Cup is not in color, but the fun remains. Well, sort of: none of the sprites have been redrawn for the Game Boy screen, which resolution is lower than the NES, resulting in, you guessed it, screen crunch. The action is more zoomed in on your character. It’s not that bad since the game is not that fast, but you lose an helpful overview of the field in the process. Still, a fun game, even if it’s not as good as the NES version.
