Pokémon Yellow: Special Pikachu Edition (Game Boy - Game Freak - 1998 - FRA)

At least you can’t say I didn’t try! Pokémon Yellow is actually the only game of this trilogy I bought on its release. It’s been a year or so since the red/blue wave and I wanted to see for myself what the fuss was all about. Little did I knew that I bought the last game published on Game Boy in Europe... The overall stiffness of the game is still present and I remember abandoning my save just a few hours in. Everything is so repetitive, and not the good kind. Maybe it’s old school JRPG, maybe I’m too old for that... I would really like to love Pokémon! But seeing all the games and their variations, my bank account thanks me not being catched by the storm.
