Balloon Kid (Game Boy - Nintendo - 1990 - FAH)

This follow-up to Balloon Fight on NES is a nice little platformer that was never released in this form in Japan. The controls are... well... floaty, and you have to deal with the inertia of the character. If you add an auto scroll, you find yourself a rather challenging game that lacks a bit of diversity however. The levels can feel quite repetitive but the experience is pleasant and the graphics are cute. Plus I’m in love with the cover art. A good addition to the Game Boy library.
