Loosely based on the first Tim Burton movie, Batman: The Video Game looks more like a shmup with platforming éléments than anything else. The overall game is fun but the sprite’s size is laughably minuscule, even more than Mario’s sprite in Super Mario Land. I have never found the strength to finish it, the game seemed pretty challenging to me. Being a Sunsoft title, you can be sure the musics rocks, and sure they do! As an early title on the system, Batman is a solid game, even if the whole Caped Crusader aesthetic is just barely cosmetic.
