Mega Man II (Game Boy - Capcom - 1991 - USA)

So here is my favorite game of all time... when I was 10. It is the first Mega Man I ever played, and I wanted it so much I couldn’t wait my birthday meal to end to try it. Sure, the game is plagued by many issues, most of which comes from a dev team that didn’t have any prior knowledge of the serie. But that’s the blue print upon which I evaluate all other Mega Man games. Some of the sprites have been redrawn exclusively for this game and I have to admit they are better than the regular one (especially the spawning animation which looks like a water drop). If I’m honest, I would say that the music is too high pitched, the challenge is nowhere to be found and jumping feels very different, but that’s not a big deal for me. I love Mega Man II.
