What a fun shooter! I was always amazed by the graphics of the home console versions featured in magazines. The game parodies another game, Nemesis, that I didn’t knew at the time, so I didn’t get most of the references... But who doesn’t remember the giant dancing girl? This Game Boy version is fine although some sprites might blink a lot when the screen is full of enemies, bonuses and lasers. The game is really cute even if some backgrounds are a bit messy due to heavy dithering. In the usual Konami fashion, the music is fantastic. It is not easy to make a good shooter on Game Boy and Parodius is one of them.
