An early technical showcase for the SNES that unfortunately didn’t aged so well. It looks and sounds amazing, but its core design was not revolutionary and the random opponents other than the four main characters feels straight out of a NES game. I’ve spent quite some time with F-Zero and enjoyed it, but the later tracks and cups are too difficult for me: I have a really hard time controlling my vehicle once I hit a wall. And that’s a shame there is no 2 player mode. But at least it started the wonderful F-Zero franchise!
