Super Mario World 2: Yoshi’s Island (Super Nintendo - Nintendo - 1995 - FAH)

What a masterpiece! Even to this day, Yoshi’s Island looks and sounds amazing. There is something magical in the combination of this particular art style and SNES’s graphic features such as mode 7. One can argue that most of the stages looks the same or that there are not that many songs or that baby Mario’s cry is annoying but none of that is relevant at the end of the day. I don’t know why the game was called Super Mario World 2 other than for marketing reasons, since it has spawned its own serie. Anyway, go play it!
