Hopeless romantic, Stanley Ipkiss, is stuck in a dead-end job as a bank clerk. On the brink of suicide, he discovers a magical mask that unleashes your innermost being. Now, as The Mask, he becomes a superhero capable of doing outlandish things. But, his dreams soon become a nightmare as he is framed for murder by a low-life who owns a nightclub. Now, in order to clear his name, and keep his identity concealed, he must don the mask and contend with an overzealous police chief, the love of his life, and the nightclub owner.
