Jarhead

- This item is used Description Oscar® winner* JAMIE FOXX (Collateral, Ali) and JAKE GYLLENHAAL (Brokeback Mountain, Donnie Darko) star in this award-winning portrait of a group of young “Jarheads” during the Gulf War. Jarhead is a beautifully photographed, powerful account told bluntly and without a shadow of reverence, with stunning imagery. The film is directed by Oscar® winner Sam Mendes (American Beauty). JARHEAD follows “Swoff” (Jake Gyllenhaal) from his first harsh encounter at training camp to active service as a sniper in the Middle Eastern desert, with no escape from the stifling heat or the Iraqi soldiers. Swoff and his combat-trained comrades are thrust into a reality where they must fight in a war they do not understand for a cause they cannot fathom.
