The Hunt fo Red October (Game Boy - Hi Tech Expression - 1991 - FAH)

I must confess that I have never seen this movie, but I remember seeing this game all over magazines and flyers back in the days. The cover reproduces the movie poster and I don’t think an aging Sean Connery would be appealing to a young Game Boy audience. At least I wasn’t! The game is a shoot’em up in all range mode, which means that you’re not a slave to a forced scrolling. I love the neat mini map at the bottom of the screen, very handy. I doubt real submarines would pull of such quick and precise manœuvre, but hey, it’s a video game after all. The « 99F » price tag corresponds to approximately 15$ nowadays.
