Just like Fatal Fury Special, Samurai Spirits on Game Gear remains mostly faithful to the arcade hit, and it’s impressive to see the game run like this on a handheld. Sure, some characters are missing and the musics are not very good, but the gameplay feels right. The only real problem with this game is the lack of a 2 player mode, which is not forgettable for a fighting game, even on handheld. This game was never officially released in Europe, hence this japanese version with a gorgeous full color manual.
