About Marvel figures

Marvel action figures found their form with Toy Biz in the early nineties, when the X-Men cartoon put a whole roster on shelves at once. Five points of articulation, a lurid card back and a lot of shoulder pads — a look that has aged into its own collecting category.

The line has run more or less continuously ever since, through Marvel Legends and the film era. Collectors here trade across all of it, and card condition on the vintage pieces is usually what decides the price.
